Perry's Events Diary for 2004 & 2005.
Just one diary entry for 2004 and four during 2005, as I became involved in my local Spiritualist church and all work on the web site stopped.
Today I attended a workshop at the church where I spoke with the previous Treasurer who explained that four committee members had resigned due to unhappiness with the way the church was going. In 1999 I experienced similar feelings of dissatisfaction, I had been Treasurer for a year then. I hope that I can remain cool headed, tactful, helpful and self motivated during my new duties on the committee. I feel I failed last time by becoming disgruntled, perhaps there were genuine reasons for this at the time, but my spiritual nature should have been able to rise above, to carry on working as harmoniously as possible toward those spiritual aims. Five years on, hopefully I am more experienced, less volatile and have more skills able to deal with difficulties. At the workshop I asked Peter Kent, the vice-president to keep an eye on me, to advise and reassure me if things do become difficult.
Today my main activity was a workshop entitled the Etiquette of Mediumship, run by Jean Way and Dinah Annable. The responsibilities of a church service chairman and the medium were covered in the morning, readings and prayers in the afternoon where we practiced reading and talking in public, leading on to a practice of clairvoyance. I haven't spoken in church or attuned to spirit for over three years, ok I was nervous but I have a sense of satisfaction in the way it went. There is a second day to workshop tomorrow.
There was a man at the workshop who told me he was physically disabled and a severe special needs person but through Pentecostal healing he had been helped. Quiet anxious sounding and behaving, to me the things he said were interesting, he seemed to know about body energies, going up into spirit consciousness and understanding people psychology. These are some of the things he said, I don't pretend to understand them but they link to other things I have come across. Cleansing the body with body fluids; the sides of the body, top and bottom and different parts have energies you need to unblock them; spiritual body armour to protect you; I am sometimes opened and sometimes closed he can feel; he felt Dinah and Judith's open spiritual nature; Do I love children / animals, I said yes, especially a bond to animals, then use this feeling as an example of how to love God; Knowing spiritual things or having the spirit flow through is awesome, can be dangerous can be a blessing; I said, I was frightened of letting my self be open, he said, but the inflowing can be so great as to cleanse you. I am looking forward to meeting him again tomorrow.
I did some foot exercises, open toes wide and bend toes, causes very uncomfortable muscle, sort of muscle I don't normally use, instead of panicking and drawing back, I breath and go with he discomfort which subsides leaving my foot behaving differently. It like reactivating an atrophied muscle. Relates to what Brian said, let it flow, might be painful but can be cleansing.
At the Spiritualist Church: Still the Treasurer, things going ok there. Passed my SNU Public Speaking exam with 94%, I have been doing some chairing of public services and the readings on Sundays, lots of positive feedback and I am getting steadily more confident with my voice. Last month did my first lecture about psychic energy, this month on the Fri 10th doing another lecture on 'the science of psychic healing.' I had joined the mediumship development group (fledglings) at the church but the leader's approach didn't agree with me so left, did 4 fledglings evenings, 3 of which I was happy with. Last Thursday the medium didn't turn up for the church service, absolutely no one else to do the service so I agreed to have a go, it went surprisingly well, a whole hour with some good links, I must admit I was very happy.
Other activities: As I finished both University and SNU studies, I have been working much more on this website, getting it in a fit state for it to grow further. Excellent news, I received a new 'noumic' device prototype last week and it works well; there will soon be a page or so about it on this web. And I have just started the process of recording Emma Hardinge's addresses all over again, did it early last year but then I had a monotone, boring voice, things have been improving rapidly. Good news with my eyesight, been doing some new exercises and it has improved markedly.
Had a meeting with the electronics guy who is making the device, went well and we finalised its appearance; I spent many hours drawing up a flow chart of how it should be programmed; hoping that it will be solar rechargeable and today uploaded a 'draft' www.noumic.com. I intend to approach web design companies see if they are interested in creating a fabulous site in return for a percentage of the sales income.
Spoke to Tony Ortzen, editor of Psychic news on a church matter, he happened to ask about the Emma recording project. I explained that it is 'on-going' and mentioned the 'device', something else he said he would be interested in if only I would send him details.
Sunday 24th, was the first meeting of a development circle which I shall be running every week, six members present with another two to start next week. Did a lot of explanations, the purpose of the circle and my history, then a 'meditation' exercise, no linking with spirit as yet. Kept the meditation simple, just imagining the room we were in as it was, see how much detail we could get.

Noumic invention:
Well, things all seem to be falling into place and yet nothing is happening.
It is most peculiar I am meeting people, getting offers for help, publicity,
sales outlets and yet progress seems to have come to a halt. The electronics
guy has been working on the next prototype but his work life has become very
busy, travelling to America and Europe which is leaving him with little
spare time to work on my project. Because his first prototype was so good it
opened up possibilities for a more dynamic design with greater programming
possibilities which has made it even more complex. And, yet wonder was this
year a good year to launch a "spiritual development product" to the world?
With all the disasters an unrest perhaps this delay has been for the best.
Spiritualism:
I was invited to join the finance committee of the Spiritualists National
Union, the head quarters of Spiritualism in the UK, my first meeting was in
September. It gives me direct contact with the Presidents, Vice-Presidents
and Treasurer of the SNU. I believe that this link with the national
organisation of Spiritualism has been arranged by some higher power, putting
me in the right place at the right time, whereby my projects to improve
spiritual understanding among Spiritualists and the wider world can come
about. Things are going smoothly at my local church with a good level of
harmony.
