Matter is made of smaller and smaller bits of matter until we get to inconceivably small bits of matter with a lot of space between them.
'Mind' - a spiritual physics concept
Introduction
All matter is made up from atoms which are incredibly small particles.
The atom has its
central nucleus and electrons orbiting it with lots of space between them.
Today's
science explains that electrons
and protons are made up of smaller bits
of matter but eventually all we find is energy. We can say that matter, at
its fundamental level, is energy that is condensed in small packages,
these packages are kept together by energy forces. This is known and
accepted science, now comes the hidden or occult science.
Spiritual and occult
writers explain that there is a very fine type of matter in the Universe,
so fine that it passes through atoms without affecting them. This fine
matter substance they call 'ether', we are surrounded by it and passing
through it all the time. There is a whole world of etheric matter and some
people are able to alter their consciousness and become aware of it.
What is energy made up of?
Energy exists in many forms. Science is only just finding out the
properties of the energy that matter is made up from, there is a lot still
to be learned.
Metaphysical science says that there is a very fine type
of energy, that all other energy stems from, they call this 'fundamental
energy' or 'prana'. Our body absorbs prana which is the source of power
behind psychic and spiritual phenomena. The prana page

Energy is clever, by this I mean it behaves in a predictable way,
something tells matter and energy how to behave. Electrons whirling
around, atoms clinging together into molecules, crystals, plants and
animals know how to grow.
Occult science says energy is packets of 'Mind substance.' Mind can parcel itself up into little packets and this is what energy is ultimately made up of. Mind exists, both freely and in packets to form energy. Mind is in all and explains how energy and matter work in a clever, predictable way. Mind is the substance of energy and therefore matter. Mind also exists directly and influences energy and matter further, for example the growth of crystals, plants and animals are intelligent things for matter to do.
Mind as a
spiritual physics concept
Mind is everywhere in the Universe as is matter and energy!
People who meditate or the spiritually advanced sometimes have experience
of soul consciousness, cosmic consciousness, an all encompassing knowing.
Their individual consciousness touches a greater, non human, immense,
wonderful knowing, it touches the mind which is all around us in the
Universe.
Mind exists, a big universal pool of mind, which also has packets of mind
we can call mind substance. This mind substance is what we use in our
thinking processes, more about this will be explained in the psychology

So what is mind made up
of? Ah! deeper we go and nearer to the beginning of all things. Mind is
formed by Spirit. There is the Absolute Spirit, the eternal, infinite,
ultimate Spirit and from this emanates or springs forth mind.
Ok that last sentence
ended the story quickly, but there are levels of understanding so far above
human consciousness that they can only be partly understood by people who have
access to the Universal Mind and only understood fully by God.
